Camping Trip 2007

What a fun time! Family, friends, fellowship and food...not to mention many of the memories that were made. Here are a few pictures I took - hope you enjoy them! Probably half the time was spent sitting around the campfire in fold-away chairs. The weather was beautiful and made us all sort of lazy. :)

Here is Vivian on the Toronto Lake dock

The scenery was gorgeous - better than any painting. God's creation is truly awesome!

As you probably realize by now, I enjoyed taking cool sun shots - very fun.

A nearby playground made for some fun pictures...

Vivian and Nathan playing on the slide

There was a shower house with no stall doors and no roof. The wall was only a little taller than Ben - about 6 feet or so. !!! We climbed on the wall with little difficulty and took these pictures.

Emily and Ben displaying true brotherly-sisterly love...

I love them. :)

We went on a hike in the woods. Here is most of the gang in a little cave off the side of the trail.

"Just think about it - cave men used to live in here!"

The huge rocks down by the bank were fun to climb on. We're pretty experienced explorers by now. You could practically call us Lewis and Clark.

Here is Ben carving our two initials into the "cliff rock." (Yep. We had to name all the important rock formations we came across)

Here are some of our initials in the "jumping rock."

I found a pretty awesome stick that looked like Gandalf's staff. The eye hole was cool, too.

I think we're going to make a monument in his honor there.

Ben was being chivilrous and offered to let me wear his coat when it got chilly. Here is me and Emily sharing it. I was going to post the picture with just me wearing it - it looks quite large on me. :)

My mom enjoyed climbing around on the rocks, too.

Viv and I on the "sitting rock."

Ben and I played probably about 100 rounds of tic-tac-toe in the sand. The results are so embarassing I won't even mention them. :)

Here we are...

The time around the campfire at night was so fun. We a wide range of songs - including "Johnny Be Good" and "Bill Grogan's Goat" - silly and fun and kept us laughing. Mrs. Q taught us an old rhyme that was very fun. It goes like this:
One dark morning in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight,

Back to back they faced eachother,
Drew their swords and shot eachother.
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came and killed those two dead boys If you don't believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man, he saw it too

These pictures are for...

Ben: because we "think alike"

Daddy: for singing "Johnny Be Good"

Vivian: for ripping him off

Emily: for hitting your head on the ceiling

and of course, Mom: because you can, indeed, whistle with water in you cheeks

Love you all! Let's do it again next year!

Thank you. :) I suppose I should give you some credit, though, since you DID take some of them. So - everyone - Ben took some of those pictures.
